For the longest time food and body image controlled my life. There was a time in my life that I thought that I was too far gone for recovery. Until I worked with a team of dietitians and therapists who knew what I was going through and could work on changing my mind set! That’s why I’m so passionate about this work.
As a non-diet, Health At Every Size (HAES) dietitian, I can teach you how to reconnect with your body so you can eat in a way that is nourishing AND satisfying. This intuitive eating approach is about making peace with your body and caring for it, instead of fighting against it. Nutrition should be gentle, not something to beat yourself up about! My passion is helping others heal their relationship with food and see it as a source of joy and fun and health… not as the enemy. Healing and growing is not usually easy, but the changes to your physical and emotional health are truly worth it. You don’t have to be at war with yourself forever.
I completed my Master’s in Clinical Nutrition at UT Southwestern and am a Registered Dietitian in the state of TX. I am also currently working to receive my certified eating disorder specialist (CEDS) certification. I previously worked at The Emily Program, a treatment facility for eating disorders, and currently treat students with eating disorders at University of Texas at Dallas. I’m a member the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp), the International Federation of Eating Disorder Dietitians (IFEDD) the Association for Size Diversity and Health (ASDAH).
I moved to Dallas from Minnesota in 2018. I played sports while in undergraduate school at the University of Minnesota. I love quiet nights watching movies and weekend hikes with brunches after. I enjoy cooking and having dinner parties, but hate cooking for just myself!
