my story

I’ve wanted to be a therapist since I was 16 years old because of an experience with my own therapy after a traumatic event. My therapist held space for me and helped me through one of the hardest times in my life! After that, I knew I wanted to be a safe person for people to come to, create a safe place where they could talk about the hard things without judgment or an agenda, and provide an environment for people to heal and grow at their own pace (paired with a gentle nudge here and there!).

It takes some courage looking for a therapist and going towards recovery. I am so glad you are here. This journey can be really daunting and frightening! I want to walk alongside you through this adventure and be there to support through the ups, downs, challenges, and successes. You are not alone, and you got this!

I see my clients choosing recovery everyday and it inspires me more than anything. I want you to be free from whatever it is that is holding you back from being your best, most authentic self. It is SO worth it!

my qualifications

I got my bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in sociology from Dallas Baptist University and went to Texas Women’s University for my master’s in clinical mental health counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) in the state of Texas. I am EMDR trained and am pursing my CEDS (Certified Eating Disorder Specialist) certification. I have worked at Eating Recovery Center for the past year, as a program therapist and a primary therapist, gaining experience with kids, adolescents, adults, and their families in the inpatient, residential, PHP, and IOP level of care. I have also worked at the Children’s Advocacy center with kids, adolescents, and their families who have experienced abuse and trauma.

let’s get personal

I enjoy spending time outside, traveling with friends to new places, going to concerts, trying out new restaurants, taking my dog for walks, and serving at a local homeless shelter. I do yoga, love to dance, and getting new plants brings me great joy! My favorite foods are Thai and Mexican.
